Tree Preservation Orders

Neighbourhood Plan for East & Botolph Claydon.

One of the first tasks to be undertaken is the identification of any tree which is considered important enough to be the subject of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). We already have a list of the trees that have TPOs, but would like to identify any others we feel should be added to the list.

We would be grateful for your help in identifying trees which you think are of ‘notable importance’ within the parish. Please contact Gerry English by phone or email (below). He will be pleased to discuss and look at any tree with you.

Neighbourhood Plan – Steering Committee

Posted By Editor on February 25, 2012

On Thursday, February 24, The Parish Council held the first meeting of its Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.   The members so far are:

Graham Wylie gw@artvps.com
Stephanie Morris snestor@btinternet.com
Lynne Stacey lstacey@freelanceoctopus.co.uk
Sue Polhill spolhill@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk
Gerry English gerard.english1@btinternet.com
Maureen Bartlett info@equicareltd.co.uk

The aims of the Committee are :
• To engage with everyone in our community during the process of producing the plan
• To create a plan that will help our parish to be the best that it can be
• To set out clearly what development is, and is not, appropriate for our community, consistent with the Borough Plan and National Policy
If you would like to be involved, please contact Graham Wylie.
At the first meeting, we focused on getting our structure together and identifying the topics which it is important to cover.   Over the coming months, we will keep residents informed of our progress either by way of website updates or village meetings.   From time to time, we will consult the community to ensure that we have solid support for the plan.  Once completed, it will hopefully be adopted by referendum and subsequently submitted to AVDC”

Message from the Parish Council

Fed up with HGV’s thundering through the village??

Folk have been getting increasingly fed up with the numbers of HGVs going through the villages especially Botolph.

So – Emma Garside Neighbourhood inspector from Buckingham police is coming to the next Parish Council is meeting in March to discuss the issue (everyone welcome as with all PC meetings).

We want to have some facts to illustrate the extent of the problem so we will be undertaking a survey on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8,9,10th Feb) next week. This will involve noting the numbers and other details of the HGVs over the 3 day period. The survey will be from 6am – 6pm and helpers would do three hour shifts observing from their car which they would park at the corner of Weir Lane and Orchard Way in Botolph.

We already have several volunteers but could do with a few more.

If you would be interested in helping please contact

The bargains to be found on this market are too numerous to mention, with antiques and collectibles on every inch of the area.

The next stage in developing the Vale of Aylesbury Plan requires that AVDC consult widely on the subject of new house building and the generation of jobs in the area.

The Parish Council will be going along at 5.00pm and we would welcome the involvement of any local residents who are interested in hearing more. Please let Graham Wylie, Chairman of the PC, know if you can join us – click here to e-mail Graham
